What is Chiropractic Therapy?

Chiropractic is a safe, natural, drug-free form of healthcare that has been proven to relieve back, neck and other pain, increase vitality, and support overall health and well-being. Chiropractic focuses on the spine and correcting structural distortions called “subluxations,” which can be caused by events such as auto accidents, sports injuries, repetitive work injuries and stress, to name just a few. Some symptoms of a subluxation may include pain, tenderness, tingling, spasm, swelling or numbness of the spine, neck and back, or even the shoulders, arms, hips and legs. If left untreated, a subluxation can lead to further problems such as migraines and severe headaches, digestive problems and overall poor health.

If you suffer from any of these ailments, our Chiropractor can help you.

Your First Appointment

On your first visit to Boulevard Chiropractic and Wellness Center you will be welcomed by a member of our practice and greeted with a warm smile. You will be asked to fill out a New Patient Intake Form that help us gain information about you and your medical condition. Please take your time to fill these forms out accurately and completely. The more information you are able to provide, the better we will be able to help you. All forms will remain strictly confidential (see our privacy policy for more information).

Your doctor will ask you directed questions to assess your condition and how it is affecting you, and then will proceed with an examination. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent or level of comfort. A spouse or family member is always welcome to attend.

You will receive a thorough physical exam that will include standard orthopedic, neurological, postural, and other examinations as required. After the initial examination, the doctor may order additional testing to be performed in order to firmly diagnose your condition. No additional testing will be performed in our office without a full explanation of the procedure, your options, and your consent.

Additional testing that may be ordered includes: X-ray, CT, MRI, EKG, or Laboratory Testing. If you have recently had testing performed, please bring in copies of the CD, films, reports, and laboratory results to your first appointment along with a list of your current prescription medications (please include herbal compounds and vitamin supplements, and over-the-counter medications).

Once all the information and examinations have been performed, your doctor will give you a report of findings and explain his recommendations for treatment. Your treatment may include chiropractic, massage, physical therapy, rehabilitative exercises, nutritional advice, or any combination of these.

Our office participates in many insurance programs. We also accept auto accident liens and workers compensation cases. Most insurance covers chiropractic care. To find out if your insurance covers chiropractic care, you should call your insurance provider directly.

Your doctor or any member of our staff. We want you to feel comfortable and confident with your treatment here, along with knowing that your health care is our first priority.
